Ezine Article Planet Based Diet-The Secret to Great Health by Yariv Lerner link: https://ezinearticles.com/?Plant-Based-Diets---The-Secret-to-Great-Health&id=8297708
Hello and welcome back to all my loyal Nature's New Nook subscribers. For today's blog post I wanted to recommend an article to read for all of you that provides very valuable information on the importance of a plant-based diet. I am going to then talk a little more in depth about my diet services and consultations that I provide for Nature's New Nook subscribers. Before we dive into the article reading although I am very knowledgeable about this lifestyle and its benefits, I am not a medical professional so make sure to consult with your doctor before changing your diet.
I highly recommend that my subscribers read Lerner article in its entirely before continuing to read my article on my research and services at Nature's New Nook. The article helps support my argument that choosing to adopt a plant-based diet is not only better for human health, but also benefits the environment, sustainability, and is the most ethical choice. My goal for Nature's New Nook is to be a place that answers your questions about the vegan lifestyle. Hence, I will first examine some major environmental issues; then, I will discuss the most common illnesses/diseases in our communities. Before finally explaining why all of you should subscribe to Nature's New Nook for guidance in converting to a plant-based vegan lifestyle, that can help solve all these problems.
Although Lerner article doesn't focus on the relationship between food consumption and its environmental impacts, I felt the need to elaborate further to really help my subscribers see and make the connection.
For thousands of years the Earth’s natural carbon dioxide cycle has been carefully balanced. Carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere from a range of source like oceans, lands, and vegetation from animals breathing to volcanic eruptions. Earth's climate has changed on many timescales in response to natural factors but over the last century there has been an unusual increase in the average global temperature.
Decades of research have revealed that the natural energy variations from the sun, is not the only factor that is causing these changes in climate. Deforestation, land use changes, transportation fuels, industrial process, and decomposition of waste in landfills are just some of the many human activities that have directly increased the amount of carbon dioxide, methane, and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. The meat, egg, and dairy industries actively exploit and contribute to these unethical activities for optimal profit gain.
To break it down for you by using the dairy industry for example. Dioxins, a pollutant that is a byproduct of industrial activity, is one of the most toxic man-made chemicals. You can thank the dairy industry’s for heavily exposing this chemical into our atmosphere. The executive director for the Energy Justice Network, Mike Ewall, explains in the 2017 documentary What The Health “Most of your [Dioxin] exposure, 93 percent of it, comes from eating meat and dairy products...you can get exposed by living near these incinerators and breathing it in but will take you 14 years to breath in as much dioxin as a cow will ingest by eating the grass in one day...dioxin accumulates in it’s fat...includes milk and the meat...anyone who eats that will get the dose of dioxin."
Meat, fish, dairy and eggs have all been linked to cancers and abnormal health conditions. Since we were children we have been taught about the healthy eating plate and how meat, eggs, and fish are essential proteins. Lerner combats this notion by stating in his article "..common health concerns that people have can be alleviated by this one simple step. Things like obesity, heart disease, poor sleep, bad skin, accelerated aging, inflammation, physical pain, and lack of energy can all be positively affected by increasing the intake of plants and natural foods" (Ezine). The fact that one of our leading causes of death in the U.S could be reversed with simple diet and lifestyle changes alone, yet so many people fail to make this connection.
This is why I have created Nature's New Nook, I want to educate all of you on this important realization that our society needs to come to terms with. By subscribing to Nature's New Nook services, I will provide you with a personalized meal plan, more insight on these industries, other recipes, and more. Nature's New Nook meal plans are designed and based off of scientifically proven evidence in food science. Compared to other diet service blogs in the market we strive for our subscribers health and well-being needs put first. We pride ourselves in knowing that the food and meals we customize for you are actually good for your personal health. Lerner further discusses in the article how "As a society, we've come to accept that common discomforts like headaches, constant fatigue, aches are just part of life. We grumble through them and maybe turn to the pharmacy for relief.." (Ezine). With Nature's New Nook I want to help people try to see their own positive results and that pharmaceuticals don't always need to be the answer. There are many factors that contribute to deaths in the US that are out of our control. This is the time and place to take encourage taking control of your health through diet changed.
With a better grasp on what really goes on in the food industries and what it does to our own bodies, I am hoping all of you can take something away from this article post today. Changing the way, we think about the food that goes on our plate everyday can have a profound impact on the earth and improve our body health. There is there normalization of atrocities in eating meat and moving forward we need to shift this dynamic and concept. Stephen Hawking gave humanity a deadline of a century to leave earth, as he thought it may be the only way to save ourselves from future environmental catastrophes. Figuring out way to capture the whole world and shift the way they consume food, having an open mind, and talking about these issues at hand can spark a change in our world. Without veganism we don’t have a future and the time for change is now. Make the connection, begin to put your health, the well-being of other animals, and the health of the environment before your taste preferences and traditions.
